The wine
A contemporary red wine from the Toro D.O. and the short “barrel-aged” within the wide range of wines produced by Manuel Fariña in this region with its long wine-making tradition. A young wine with a short ageing period, made using Tinta de Toro grapes, the denomination’s predominant varietal, originating from 30 to 40 year-old vineyards farmed by several local vine-growers.
A dark Picota cherry colour with purplish hues on the rim, the nose is fruit-forward, with notes of tobacco, chocolate and fine wood. On the palate, the entry is pleasant and the wine comes over as fresh with good acidity and sweet tannins.
Aged for 4 months in French and American oak barrels.
