The wine
Girlan Lagrein is a soft and characteristic red wine, with a beautiful dark garnet red color. The olfactory bouquet shows the dominance of intense intense fruity notes, in particular of morello cherry, enriched by an engaging floral scent of lilac and cooked bay leaf. There are also hints of flint and a delicate chocolate tone. The taste is full, velvety, vinous and slightly sour, with a delicate texture and refined tannins that give the sip a captivating fullness. It happily accompanies meat recipes such as beef rolls with mashed potatoes and venison leg braised with blue cabbage. Beautifully enhances the taste of mature cheeses and mature Parmesan.
