The wine
Lagerin is a native vine of Alto Adige; Franz Haas proposes its variant which ages for 10-12 months in tonneau and then in bottle, before being marketed. At sight it exhibits an intense red color with purple reflections. The aromatic bouquet ranges from hints of red fruits to floral aromas of violet, to get to the spicy notes of fresh grass and cocoa. The sip is decisive with a developed but quite velvety tannic texture and a long and enveloping finish. It is suitable to be paired with second courses based on red meat. Excellent with roast veal in the oven.
