The wine

Finca Montico 2021 is an exceptional white wine produced by the renowned Marqués de Riscal winery, located in the Rueda region of Spain. This wine is made entirely from Verdejo grapes, famous for its adaptability to arid climates and its ability to produce fresh and aromatic wines.

Visually, Finca Montico 2021 presents a bright straw yellow colour with greenish reflections, an indication of its youth and freshness. On the nose, it offers an intense explosion of aromas that include notes of tropical fruits such as pineapple and mango, complemented by nuances of fresh herbs and a citrus touch reminiscent of lemon and lime.

On the palate, it is perceived as a well-balanced and rounded wine. The acidity is vibrant and well-integrated, providing a pleasant freshness that enhances the fruit flavours and prolongs the lingering finish. Subtle mineral hints and a slightly unctuous texture add complexity to this wine, making it ideal to enjoy on a variety of occasions.

Finca Montico 2021 is perfect with seafood dishes, white fish and Mediterranean cuisine, as well as on its own as a refreshing aperitif.

Marqués de Riscal, Herederos

Marqués de Riscal's history began in 1858 when its founder, Camilo Hurtado de Amézaga, started to apply in Elciego wine-making techniques employed in Bordeaux. Jean Pineau, the master winemaker at Château Lanessan in the Haut Medoc, gave his professional advice to the then sixth Marquis of Riscal regarding the production of wines following the French system, therefore abandoning the rough and rather unrefined style of Rioja wine and thus establishing La Rioja's first modern...
