The wine
A deep, dark cherry-red colour, this wine has an intense aroma on the nose, of ripe red fruit on a background of well-integrated oak. It is medium-bodied, fresh and fruit-forward on the palate.
Malolactic fermentation in new French oak barrels, with subsequent ageing for 15 months in the same barrels.

The winery
Bodegas Félix Callejo
Right in the heart of the region, in the small town of Sotillo de la Ribera, Felix Callejo founded this bodega in 1989. He had been well primed in the art of vine-growing from his father and grandfather, and his own children are now very much involved in the family tradition of wine-making. They form an enthusiastic and dedicated team, building on the fine reputation that this company maintains both at home and abroad for first-class wines.
