Long before bringing a glass of Colección Privada red to the nose, one realises that this is a fine wine; the aromas come out to meet us on simply uncorking the bottle. It smells of cherries and plums, scrubland, toasted oak and vanilla. Its medium density and abundant yet agile tears lead us to preconceive an intense as well as elegant wine. With precise acidity, its entry on the palate is very fresh, the tannins are extremely fine and the oak is perfectly integrated; some hints of coffee in the background bring to mind the toasting of staves, but it's the wine as a whole that captivates us.
