Wine with an austere and consistent look; the bouquet is rich and dense with notes of sweet licorice, pepper, coffee and spices, subsequently leaving room for hints of violet, ripe raspberry, blackberries and jams. The flavor is of equal merit: full-bodied, rich in substance, with pungent tannins and a persistent finish. Excellent with venison with blueberries.
