The wine
Cascina Nuova is a Barolo that proves very good value for money and easy to drink, made using fruit from the Elvio Cogno winery's youngest vineyards.
On the nose, of particular note are the varietal aromas of red fruits, especially Morello cherries, enriched with subtle hints of pepper, liquorice and nutmeg, all blending into a very precise combination.
A flavour that's smooth and balanced, tinged with a pleasant minerality, and having a lengthy persistence.
