Elvio Cogno Barbera d'Alba Bricco dei Merli
2021Spec sheet
The wine
Elvio Cogno Bricco dei Merli is a red of great character, of a deep ruby color with clear purple reflections. The deep, ample, harmonious and long-lasting perfumes are reminiscent of the rose, the undergrowth smells and oriental spices. In the mouth it is offered with considerable power, softened by a wide softness; the structure is excellent and is accompanied by a lively acid freshness; the flavors refer to marasca and plum jam, with a long finish of dried grapes. Excellent paired with savory dishes such as dry soups and dishes based on red meats, soft cheeses, fatty, not seasoned.
