The wine

Nero di Troia is an autochthonous Apulian grape variety with a ruby red color so intense as to appear black, thanks to its polyphenolic charge. One of the oldest wines of the region, as in the tradition sinks the name "Priam", which recalls the warrior king of the Greek city of Troy, according to mythology. Priam, the redeemed, as history reminds us. A redemption story is also that of Nero di Troia, thanks to the great interest of international oenology towards indigenous wine production. The Priamo grapes are harvested late and harvested manually in boxes, then macerated in horizontal rotary winemakers. Aging takes place in French oak barrels for 6 months. This intense ruby red wine gives off a scent of red fruits, cherry and morello cherry. On the palate it has a perfect balance of ripe fruit which leads it to be rich, full and persistent. To be combined with dishes with meat sauces, cold cuts and roasts. the aromas explode in red berry, cherry and morello cherry fruit. In the mouth it has a perfect balance of ripe fruit.
