The wine
A long time ago, a very long time ago, by a whim of geology, the soil of the Morgon Cru was metamorphosed. The granite has turned into shale, the shale itself has altered and decomposed to such an extent that local winegrowers refer to it as rotten rock. However, it is in this terroir that the Gamay vines will draw this particular sap which gives this typicality to the Morgon appellation.
