The wine
Référence Blanc is produced by the Jaume family, who have worked with wine for over 115 years here in the northern-most part of the southern Rhône Valley wine region facing the majestic Mont Ventoux mountain. They work with two of the terroirs within Cru de Vinsobres, Le Coteau and Les Collines, and make wines under the Côtes du Rhône and Vinsobres labels.
The winery's unshakeable commitment to sustainable organic winegrowing is laid down in their Vinéa Natura charter, and Référence Blanc is produced with the utmost respect for the predominantly clay silt terroirs and the Grenache Blanc, Marsanne, Clairette, Roussane and Viognier vines which enjoy an average age of 30 years.
What does this wine taste like?
The finished product is an elegant and aromatic wine with tantalizing aromas of white fruit and citrus fruit, a wine which is fresh and unctuous in the mouth and has a pleasant degree of acidity and a long and lingering fruity finish. Well worth trying with baked fish, shellfish or strong goat cheese.

The modern chapter in the history of this 92-hectare estate in Vinsobres began in the 1920s when Henri Chauvet and Baron Le Roy introduced the idea of appellations (controlled designations of origin) in...
