Saumur is really a region for reds and that was proven by L'Insolite, which is a sound, but somewhat diluted version of dry Vouvray. It has the grapefruit, honeyed character of Chenin Blanc, but without the concentration and complexity one can expect from that variety. Pleasant, but a bit disappointing given the quality of the producer.
