Château Talbot Caillou Blanc

The 2018 Caillou Blanc de Talbot comes bounding out of the glass with bold, tropical scents of fresh pineapples and passion fruit plus hints of lemongrass and ginger. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is ripe and seductive with just enough freshness and a long, tropical finish.

Barrel sample. Ripe citrus and spice on the nose. Quite a bit of obvious oak both on the nose and on the palate. A little bit fat, more flavour than elegance. Tastes as if there was some botrytis but seems unlikely in 2018.

This is a layered and rich white with lots of cooked pineapple and apples. Round and layered.
