The wine
Black as is the tradition of Cahors, this wine shows an intense bouquet of spices, sour cherries and raspberries, cedarwood and rosemary. The mouth is tightened by fine and tight tannins, as well as by a mineral freshness which carries the wine in length. Juicy and well spiced, the fruit of the wine is enriched with toasted hazelnuts, tonka beans and gingerbread. Long, dense and complex, it is a wine built to keep. In its youth, offer it a decant an hour or two before the meal, then savor it on grilled noble meat or on a simmered dish.
