Wine critics reviewsReviews by Parker, Jancis Robinson, and Suckling

Medium to deep garnet-purple colored, the 2017 Beau-Sejour Becot sails out of the glass with pronounced black cherries, kirsch, baked plums and boysenberries scents plus nuances of bay leaves, star anise and pencil shavings with a waft of roses. Medium to full-bodied, the palate delivers bags of juicy black fruits with a firm backbone of rounded tannins and bold freshness, finishing with great length and purity.

— Lisa Perrotti-Brown (16/03/2020)Robert Parker Wine Advocate Vintage 2017 - 96+ PARKER

Tasted blind. Deep ruby colour. Seductively sweet fruit on the nose without excess. Very pure. Lovely chalky depth in structure to begin, matching notes of graphite and red fruit. This becomes a touch dry towards the finish, with notes of cedar and arresting tannins pinching the length. It may settle and improve with time.

— Tom Parker (15/09/2021)JancisRobinson.com Vintage 2017 - 16.5 JANCIS ROBINSON

Lots of leaf, mushroom, bark and plum aromas and flavors. It’s medium-to full-bodied with juicy fruit and firm, fine tannins. Tight at the finish. The quality and the polish of the tannins are exceptional. So integrated. Needs three or four years to open. Try after 2024.
