The wine
Syrah and Petit Verdot are the varieties used to make this Casale del Giglio flagship: a modern wine but to all intents and purposes already a classic in Italian winemaking.
Exhibiting a complex nose, its bouquet is composed of fruit, floral, spicy, balsamic and toasty notes. Dark and dense, featuring distinct aromas of ripe wild berry fruits and cherries; after which come violets, sweet spices and coffee beans. On the palate it appears elegant and enveloping, with tannins masterfully handled and a tasty minerality. Without a doubt, an outstanding example of the winery's expertise.

Casale del Giglio
Casale del Giglio was founded in 1967 by Dr. Bernardino Santarelli in the Agro Pontino valley, a plain in the Lazio region hitherto lacking any wine-producing tradition.
