Carole Bouquet Passito di Pantelleria Sangue d'Oro
2021 (0.5 L)Spec sheet
The wine
Sangue d'Oro is a Pantellerian wonder, an aromatic journey through the Mediterranean; it perfectly represents the paradox of an island that is extreme and violent, swept by sun and wind, and at the same time very sensual. It is produced on the island of Pantelleria, in the city quarter of Serraglio, by the famous French actress Carol Bouquet in collaboration with expert local winemakers and oenologists. Moscato di Pantelleria is produced from a grape variety called Moscato di Alessandria, locally called Zibibbo (meaning “raisin”). The aromas are very strong and these grapes show great resistance to climatic conditions.
What does this wine taste like?
Sangue d'Oro is the colour of the setting sun. The aroma is of bergamot, dried apricot, candied citron, orange blossom honey, dates, almonds and saffron. On the palate it is concentrated and graceful, soft and savoury, warm and fresh, well balanced.
