The wine
The grape variety is Lambrusco Maestri. Mainly planted in lowland areas (it was born from the inspiration of a farmer from Valera, Luigi Maestri, low Parma) for its characteristics of resistance to humidity, mold, and also for its generous productivity, it has proved to be an excellent vine even in the hills. The result is a full-bodied wine, with good structure, considerable gradations (12% - 13%), and definitely different from all his other colleagues. Also great for aging. It is a wine that goes very well with all our typical cuisine, from salami appetizers, to our famous first courses, up to even demanding second courses of red meats. Aged 5 years or more, it becomes “screaming”!
