The Brigaldara winery is located right in the heart of the so-called Valpolicella Classico region, where it comprises 50 hectares of vineyards and olive groves.
The Brigaldara Amarone Classico distinguishes itself from other wines within the same category due to its complexity, style and elegance. The grapes which are used in its making, extremely rich in sugar and polyphenols, come from the winery's vineyards, very low-yielding, but enjoying superb sun exposure and grown on fertile soils mainly composed of clay.
Brigaldara Amarone Classico arises from a careful grape selection which is then followed by a very rigorous drying process that lasts for 120 days. The wine subsequently ages in barrels and 25-hectolitre oak casks for three years.
A dark ruby-red colour with garnet flecks, the velvety smoothness of its aromas is a highlight on the nose: blackberry jam, rose petals, exotic spices, (cinnamon, vanilla, cayenne pepper) and tobacco, on a balsamic eucalyptus background. A complex bouquet in which every scent discreetly maintains its fragrance.
With a profound flavour and distinctive smoothness, it reveals fine tannins and a notable alcohol content that is offset by its freshness. Energetic and charming, simultaneously refined and powerful, perfectly balanced... In short, unmissable.
Beautiful and typical amarone. Flavour of black berries and spicyness result in a soft and long lasting finishing. Pretty high on alcohol but a fine wine to enjoy by the glass.
