The wine
This is a wine that showcases the indigenous Garnacha grape variety. A 100% “mountain” Garnacha wine, made from old vines ranging from 40 to 65 years old, and showing the distinctive touch of Australian oenologist, Chris Ringland.
A dense, deep cherry-red coloured wine, there is definite complexity on the nose, with black fruit aromas and balsamic and toasty notes complemented by a certain rusticity imbuing character. Structured and flavoursome on the palate, it reveals fine, very slightly bitter tannins bolstered by the decisive contribution of top-quality oak.
Aged for 18 months in oak barrels.
