The wine
La Grola is elaborated in Sant'Ambrogio di Valpolicella and is the extraordinary result of the meeting of three great personalities: the hills of Grola, the native vines of Valpolicella (Corvina and Oseleta) and Syrah.
The vineyards are located on calcareous and clayey soils, with excellent exposure, caressed by the breeze from Lake Garda. Here the fruit and acid nerve of Corvina and Oseleta is combined with the spices and softness of Syrah to give life to a red of great elegance and harmony, refined and with great aging potential. Suitable to accompany red meat dishes, especially lamb and kid, and also delicious with stewed or grilled mushrooms and aged cheeses.

The winery
Allegrini
Founded in 1854, Allegrini is one of the companies that best exemplify the objective of producing wines that not only have a distinctive character but also international appeal. From being a small, family-run firm, the winery has extended its range of activity concentrating particularly on its Venetian origins, with the Corte Giara, and on its huge heritage in Tuscany, with the prestigious labels of Poggio San Polo.
