Wine from Condado de Huelva
The repopulation that began after the Reconquest brought with it the modern beginnings of vine cultivation and since then the reputation and popularity of Condado wines have suffered significant ups and downs.

Condado de Huelva
The repopulation that began after the Reconquest brought with it the modern beginnings of vine cultivation and since then the reputation and popularity of Condado wines have suffered significant ups and downs.
Nowadays, white wines, red wines, fortified wines and sweet wines are produced in its nearly 3,000 hectares of vineyards, the most popular being the fortified wines known as Condado Joven, with biological ageing, and the so-called Condado Viejo, with oxidative ageing.
The most popular speciality in the region is the Naranja wine, obtained from wine or must to which wine alcohol is added and in which bitter orange peels have been left to macerate. The wine is then aged using the criaderas and soleras system for a minimum of 2 years.
