Nuragus
The name of this ancient Sardinian white grape obviously reminds us of the Nuragic civilisation, which was present during the archaic phase of the island, but the cultivation of this grape could have been introduced or at least perfected by the Phoenicians. Typical of the hinterland of Cagliari, therefore of southern Sardinia, nuragus produces a white wine to be consumed young, with mainly fruity notes of citrus fruits that are accompanied by sweet nuances of honey and honeysuckle. The palate offers medium acidity, good body and good persistence.
