The NV Cuvée Mycorhize Grand Cru Extra Brut is a new Champagne of De Sousa that will go into the market either in 2016 or 2017. Entirely based on 100% old vines Chardonnay from Avize and Oger that were harvested in 2010 and fermented in barrels, this is a very pure and mineral, firmly structured champagne with great finesse, complexity, and an extraordinary length and aging potential. The Mycorhize was disgorged in April 2014 as an Extra Brut.
Based on the 2014 vintage and disgorged in 2018, this has such impressive richness and power with a swathe of grilled almonds, lemon rind and pith, as well as grapefruit and grilled peaches. The palate has toasty and fleshy allure. Really packed with interest. Drink now.

Praticamente introvabile, è una perla rara di questo produttore; Personalmente lo trovo un prodotto fresco, anche se il solera e l'uso del legno direbbero il contrario.
