The wine
Made from the Xarel·lo (60%) and Macabeo (40%) varieties, grown in vineyards aged over 60 years old, Llopart Ex Vite Brut has a very limited production run of 5,300 bottles a year. Its "coupage" is carried out with reserve wines matured in oak barrels and it spends a minimum of 84 months ageing in bottle. The result is a bright straw-gold coloured Cava, with a very fine mousse and beads slowly released to form a crown. It exudes a potent and elegant aroma that reveals dried fruits and nuts, along with toasty, balsamic and smoky notes. It shows fullness on the palate and is very flavoursome, with a smooth and lingering aftertaste.

The winery
Cavas Llopart
Ex Vite Vita. 'Life comes from the vine', the definition of a winery with deep roots in the land and centuries of tradition. Committed exclusively to wine production since the 18th Century, although dedicated to vine growing since 1385, Llopart is today a key name in the world of Cava, not only due to its excellent products (with the first dating back to 1887), but also for having been one of the definitive driving forces behind the recognition of Cava as a product of prestige...
